Chiropractic adjustments are used to increase mobility in the joints of the body including the spine and extremities. These adjustments are implemented in a specific manner to help correct conditions limiting the body's ability to repair itself. The adjustment consists of placing the body in a safe position with a mechanical advantage and then applying a soft, gentle, and quick push or pull in order to increase mobilitity of the joint that is restricted.

Kinesiology taping is the most current and advanced taping method used for the correction of many musculoskeletal conditions. This method is great for mechanical, fascial, ligament/tendon, functional, and lymphatic conditions. Kinesiology taping practitioners have developed their skills by attending seminars and by practical application. The Kinesiology taping technique has grown in popularity in recent years as professional and olympic athletes have begun to take advantage of the benefits that can be attained from proper application.
When applied correctly, kinesiotape can support weak muscles, inhibit overactive muscles, reduce swelling, and assist in the rehabilitation of overuse conditions. The tape activates the neurological and circulatory pathways assisting the body to heal itself.
Active Release Technique is a soft tissue treatment technique used for the treatment of scar tissue in the body. The body uses scar tissue to repair injured or damaged tissues. When a tissue in the body is overused, micro-injuries occur which results in the body laying down scar tissue. If this scar tissue is allowed to remain in the body and more micro-injuries occur, the end result will be restricted motion, dysfunction, and/or pain. Active Release Technique is a system of treatment protocols used to break up the scar tissue and assist the body in laying down normal tissue which will eliminate the restricted motion, dysfunction, and pain.
At Ultimate Health and Rehab, our patients are actively involved in their health and rehabilitation. In order to maximize speed and success of recovery from a painful condition, each patient will be given rehabilitation exercises designed to specifically correct the dysfunction discovered during the examination. These exercises will be implemented at a progression in accordance with the patient's response.
